School Hours and Calendar

Schooling hours and language schedule:

Alternatively French or English

In total, teaching is equally split 50/50 between French and English for each class.

A typical day starts with:

  • 8:20am-8:30am: Welcoming children;
  • 8:30am-8:50am: Free discovery, individual or collective play time, focusing on language, expression and exchange;
  • 8:50am-9:20am: Get-together rituals (singing, rhymes, etc.).

...followed by:

  • Activity time in class;
  • Gross motor skills session (30 minutes daily);
  • Visits to the school library (once or twice a week);
  • Swimming sessions, outdoor sports activities or pony club depending on the yearly schedule.

Snack time in class, followed by a playground break:

  • Petite Section (N2): 9:45am-10:15am;
  • Moyenne Section (K1): 10:15am-10:45am;
  • Grande Section (K2): 10:30am-11:00am.

Around 12pm: lunch, followed by ½ hour of playground break for Moyenne and Grande Sections

  • Naptime for Petite Section and children in Moyenne Section who need it;
  • 3:00pm: Children get ready to go home;
  • 3:15pm: end of the school day.

Children can then choose to follow a variety of fun extra-curricular activities.

The calendar for 2021-2022 is available for download. The calendar 2022-2023 (waiting for final approval) is also available.

Holiday camps are organised on the second week of school breaks (optional) at an additional cost. Camps are usually theme-based – sports, arts or culture – and are managed by staff from the school as well as guest teachers and coaches.  Additional fees apply ($360/week). During the holiday camp, the bus is included for children who have subscribed to that service throughout the year.
